摘要

我们证明，对于 Out( $F_N$ ) 的任意子群 $H$ ，要么 $H$ 包含一个无环面元素，要么 $H$ 的一个有限指数子群 $H'$ 固定 $F_N$ 中的一个非平凡共轭类。该结果是 Ivanov 关于映射类群的子群定理以及 Handel-Mosher 关于 Out( $F_N$ ) 在不可约元素情形下的子群定理的类似物。
