Au(111)上单层WS$_2$的K谷自旋结构

摘要

通过自旋及角分辨光电子能谱与逆光电子能谱,确定了Au(111)上单层WS2_2K\overline{\text{K}}K\overline{\text{K}}'谷价带与导带的自旋结构。限制1.98 eV直接带隙的能带具有面外自旋极化,价带与导带中自旋相关能量分裂分别为417 meV与16 meV。自旋分裂能带的顺序在价带与导带中相同,而在K\overline{\text{K}}K\overline{\text{K}}'高对称点为相反。首个观测解释了光学实验中讨论的“暗”激子,后者指向电子输运中耦合的自旋与谷物理。实验观测的能带色散连同自由站立单层及Au(111)上单层的能带结构计算一并讨论。
