摘要
本文研究了带边紧流形上的消失平均振荡 (VMO) 向量场。受 Brezis 和 Niremberg 工作的启发，我们为这类场构造了一个拓扑不变量——指数，并建立了 Morse 公式的类比。由此，我们刻画了可以延拓为无处为零的 VMO 向量场的边界数据集。最后，我们简要展示了如何将这些思想应用于具有 VMO 正则性的（无向）线场，从而为模拟涂有向列相液晶薄膜的表面提供了一个合理的框架。
