涉及根不变量的计算促使Mahowald和Shick提出了一个口号：“vₙ周期同伦的根不变量是vₙ挠元”。尽管该口号的证明或精确表述尚未出现在文献中，但许多作者提供了计算证据来支持其基本思想。根不变量与Mahowald对Tate谱的逆极限描述密切相关，并且计算表明vₙ周期上同调理论的Tate谱是vₙ挠元。本文的目的是将tmf的Tate谱分裂为kO的悬垂楔和，为现有文献中支持该口号提供又一个例子。
