摘要
本文致力于描述 在 Orlicz 空间中紧致性的缺失。我们的结果以 P.-L. Lions 导出的浓度型例子来表达。我们为建立这一刻画所采用的方法完全不同于研究 Sobolev 嵌入在 Lebesgue 空间中紧致性缺失时所使用的方法，并且考虑了 Orlicz 空间的变分特性。我们还研究了具有指数增长的非线性波动方程解的特征，其中 Orlicz 范数起着决定性作用。
