摘要
本文关注 Smith 问题，其表述如下：对于在球面上光滑作用且恰有两个不动点的有限群，不动点处的切空间是否总具有由作用微分定义的同构群模结构？我们表明，可以使用群表示的诱导技术对此问题给出否定回答。我们应用所得结果指出球面容许特定 Oliver 群作用的新维数，这些作用给出 Smith 问题的否定回答。特别地，我们首次指出了一些可解非幂零 Oliver 群，它们给出 Smith 问题的否定回答。
