摘要
Thomas Price 的一个优美定理将斐波那契数与卢卡斯多项式联系到椭圆的平面几何，推广了关于圆的经典问题。我们简要回顾圆问题的历史、叙述 Price 的椭圆证明，并给出一个重组的证明，其中融入一些新想法，旨在将该结果置于与经典数学的致密联系网络中。该工作受 Cardano 三次方程解法和 Newton 幂和定理启发，并给出广义卢卡斯多项式在对称多项式理论中的解释。我们还发展了沿途出现的额外联系；例如，我们给出广义斐波那契多项式的平行解释，并表明 Cardano 方法可用于写出卢卡斯多项式的根。
