桥数、Heegaard genus 与非整数 Dehn 手术

摘要
我们证明存在一个线性函数 w: N->N 具有如下性质：设 K 为双曲 3-流形 M 中的双曲纽结，且 M 容许一个非纵向的 S^3 手术。若将 K 相对于 M 的强不可约、 genus 为 g 的 Heegaard 分裂置于薄位置，则 K 与厚水平面的交点数至多为 2w(g)。通常而言，这表明 K 相对于该 Heegaard 分裂的桥数至多为 w(g)，且 K 的隧道数至多为 w(g) + g-1。
