本文对 Newman-Janis 算法补充了零旋转 (null rotation)，并将其应用于 Reissner-Nordstr"om 时空的张量，从而生成了 Kerr-Newman 时空的度规、Maxwell 张量、Ricci 张量和 Weyl 张量。该过程还提供了一种机制，使得 Carter Killing 张量可以从底层 Reissner-Nordstr"om 度规的测地线角动量张量中产生。Kerr-Newman 时空中的共形 Killing 张量也以类似方式生成。该推广算法还被应用于 Reissner-Nordstr"om 时空的 Killing 矢量，并产生了有趣的结果。从 Schwarzschild 到 Kerr 的变换是其中的一个特例。
