摘要
霍普夫在1930年代提出一个猜想：具有正截面曲率的偶维紧黎曼流形具有正欧拉示性数。我们在等距群秩至少为五的附加假设下证明了该猜想。实现这一结果所使用的基础性新工具是归约到一个涉及环面表示的表示论问题，并给出其结构结果，该问题中所有各向同性群均为连通的。
