摘要

对于每个整数 $n$ ，我们构造一个单连通 $4$ -流形 $X$ ，它 admitting 一个自交数为 $n$ 的光滑嵌入曲面 $\Sigma$ ，使得该曲面的补空间具有非平凡的基本群。这回答了 Kronheimer 在 Kirby 1997 年问题列表中的一个问题。证明将拓扑构造与单群（如 Thompson 群 $V$ 和某些散在有限单群）的同调性质相结合。
