摘要
亏格为 g 的黎曼曲面模空间 M_g 中的一条闭合 Teichmüller 测地线，若其长度至多为 L/g，则称为 L-短测地线。我们证明，对于任意 L > 0，存在与 g 无关的 e_2 > e_1 > 0，使得 M_g 中的所有 L-短测地线均位于 e_1-厚部分与 e_2-薄部分的交集中。我们还估计了 M_g 中 L-短测地线的数量，并给出了其上界和下界，它们均为 g 的多项式，其次数依赖于 L 且当 L 趋于无穷时也趋于无穷。
