模型范畴与单纯方法

摘要
呈现模型范畴的方式有很多,每种视角各异。此处我们愿将模型范畴视为构造并控制消解(resolution)的一种手段。这是一种历史性的进路:在模型范畴最初且引人注目的应用中,Quillen 将这一技术用作在非交换设定下构造消解的方法;例如,在其关于交换代数同调的工作中,对交换代数的自由消解这一概念保持高度灵活至关重要。类似问题出现在关于有理同伦论的论文中。(该文首次阐明了如今标准的模型范畴公理。)我们将强调投射消解的类似物,仅因这类消解最常被多数人先接触到。当然,该理论完全灵活,亦可处理内射消解。
