Fauna Sprout:轻量级、易用、开发者友好的人形机器人

摘要

近期在学习型控制、大规模仿真和生成模型方面的进展,加速了通用人形机器人控制器的发展进展,但该领域仍缺乏适用于人类环境中安全、表达性、长期部署的平台。大多数现有人形机器人要么是封闭的工业系统,要么是难以部署和操作的人类环境中的学术原型,限制了机器人学的进展。我们引入Sprout,这是一个开发者平台,旨�通过强调安全性、可表达性和开发者可及性来解决这些限制。Sprout采用轻量化外形设计,采用柔顺控制、受限关节扭矩和软质外壳,以支持在共享人类空间中的安全操作。该平台集成了全身控制、带集成抓手的操作以及基于虚拟现实的遥控操作于一个统一的硬件软件堆栈中。一个具有表达性的头部进一步支持社交交互——这一领域在大多数实用型人形机器人中仍未得到充分探索。通过降低部署的物理和技术障碍,Sprout扩展了对能力人形平台的可及性,并为开发现实人类环境中具身智能提供了实用基础。
