摘要
本科科研已成为吸引和留住物理专业学生的重要模式。在芝加哥洛约拉大学，一年级物理学生参与新生项目计划已超过二十年，这恰逢我们院系显著发展的一段时期。在本文中，我们描述了新生项目计划如何在推进洛约拉大学本科科研方面发挥重要作用，以及它对我们项目产生的深远影响。最后，我们就其他机构采纳类似项目提出建议。
