Al(70)Pd(21)Mn(9) 五重表面的拼砌

摘要
利用扫描隧道显微镜研究了 Al(70)Pd(21)Mn(9) 五重表面的性质。根据台阶的高分辨图像，使用五边形原型砖构建了该表面的拼砌。该拼砌与 Boudard 等人 (J. Phys.: Cond. Matter 4, 10149, (1992)) 的体模型相匹配，使我们能够阐明该表面的原子性质。此外，它与基于三维拼砌 T^*(2F) 的几何模型所获得的 Penrose 拼砌 T^*((P1)r) 相一致。这些结果直接证实了 i-Al-Pd-Mn 的五重表面是体结构的终止。
