摘要
我们采用几何方法表明，在单位根处特化的约化 Burau 表示还有另一重化身，即 Thurston 所描述的球面上欧氏锥度量模空间的单值表示。利用 orbifold 理论，我们借助这一联系在某些情形辨识出这些特化映射的核，部分回应了 Squier 的一个猜想。4 股情形是 Burau 表示忠实性疑问未知的最后一例，该疑问例如与 Jones 多项式是否检测平凡结的问题相关。我们的结果使我们可以将该表示的核置于 的几个拓扑自然子群的交中。
