LUX暗物质探测器中的放射性本底和μ子诱导本底

摘要
大型地下氙(LUX)暗物质实验旨在探测弱相互作用大质量粒子(WIMPs)产生的稀有低能相互作用。LUX探测器中的放射性本底已被测量并与蒙特卡洛模拟进行了比较。LUX高能数据的测量为背景模型中所有本底源提供了直接约束。来自背景模型的85.3天WIMP搜索运行的预期本底率为~events~keV~kg~day(118~kg有效体积内)。观测到的本底率为~events~keV~kg~day,与模型预测一致。给出了后续一年运行中放射性本底的预期。
