LUX-ZEPLIN (LZ) 暗物质实验的事件模拟

摘要

LUX-ZEPLIN 暗物质搜寻旨在对 WIMP-核子自旋无关截面的灵敏度达到 (1--2)×1012\times10^{-12}\,pb(对应 WIMP 质量 40 GeV/c2c^2)。本文描述了模拟框架,该框架与放射性测量一起用于支持这一灵敏度预测,并提供模拟数据以验证重建与分析软件。特别值得注意的是事件生成器,其允许我们对本底辐射建模,以及用于产生原始信号的探测器响应物理,这些原始信号可转换为类似于运行探测器所采数据的数字化波形。包含探测器响应使得我们能够使用为处理实验数据而开发的相同分析程序来处理模拟数据。
