位于格兰萨索国家实验室的XENON100实验旨在通过弱相互作用大质量粒子与氙原子核的弹性散射直接探测暗物质。我们全面研究了来自探测器和屏蔽材料内部放射性衰变以及本征污染所预期的电子反冲本底。基于使用详细几何结构的GEANT4蒙特卡罗模拟以及所有探测器组件的实测放射性,我们预测在WIMP搜索能量范围(0-100 keV)内,30公斤有效质量中的电子反冲本底小于10e-2事件/(公斤·天·千电子伏),与实验设计目标一致。预测的本底谱与2009年秋季探测器调试期间获取的数据非常吻合。
