我们综述了 Jean-Louis Loday 对结合多面体的顶点描述，及其在组合学、离散几何与代数中的深远影响。我们特别介绍了其发挥核心作用的四个主题：弱序的格同余及其商多面体（quotientopes）、簇代数及其广义结合多面体、嵌套复形及其巢状多面体（nestohedra），以及 operad 与结合多面体对角。
