摘要
有界域上的电磁学与声学由 Helmholtz 方程支配；当这样的域是由‘刚好接触’的迭代函数系统（IFS）描述的[预]分形时，Helmholtz 算子的谱分解也是自相似的。Green 函数的重整化证明了这一特征，并分离出一类称为“跨周期（diaperiodic）”的本征模，其波形与特征值可通过对初始元本征空间应用 IFS 递归计算。给出了“谱维数”的定义，并证明对广泛一类 IFS 它仅依赖于跨周期模。最后，证明了在分形极限下盒计数维数与谱维数的渐近等价性。由于分形的‘自相似’谱足以计算盒计数维数，对标题问题给出了肯定回答。
