摘要
我们证明，如果一个群是相对双曲的，则其抛物子群是 virtually nilpotent 的当且仅当存在一个有界几何的双曲空间，使得该群在其上几何有限地作用。通过运用 M. Bonk 和 O. Schramm 嵌入定理，这给出了具有 virtually nilpotent 抛物子群的相对双曲群的渐近维数有限性（已知其蕴含 Novikov 猜想）的一个非常简短的证明。
