本文表明，[ADL+07] 中表达的期望——即任何多面体带的无重叠边展开新算法可能引向任何棱柱体的无重叠展开算法——无法实现。构造了一个棱柱体，其侧面构成一个嵌套的多面体带，且具有如下性质：该棱柱体顶面的任何放置位置都会与带的展开图发生重叠。
