Barbilian 空间是一类度量空间，其度量由一种受非欧几何模型研究启发的特殊度量化方法所诱导。在本文中，我们讨论 Barbilian 空间的历史及理论的演进。我们指出，当前一些关于 Barbilian 空间工作的参考文献仅涉及 Barbilian 于 1934 年的贡献，而他的构造已在 1959—1962 年以罗马尼亚语发表的四篇论文中得到大幅扩展。
