摘要
Stickelberger证明了数域的判别式模4同余于0或1。我们利用线性代数技术将此结论推广到整数上有限秩的任意（不必交换的）环。即便在经典情形中，我们仅依赖于初等矩阵恒等式的证明也是新的。
