POPmine：追踪网络上的政治观点

摘要
随着社交媒体和计算能力的兴起，社会科学中对大众媒体的自动内容分析已变得必要且可能。一个特别有前景的研究途径涉及意见挖掘的使用。我们设计并实现了POPmine系统，该系统能够从基于网络的常规媒体（主流媒体网站中的新闻条目）和社交媒体（博客和Twitter）收集文本，并处理这些文本，识别话题和政治行为者，分析相关的语言单元，并生成提及频率以及跨来源、来源类型和时间的对政治行为者提及的情感极性（正面/负面）指标。
