本文受早期工作和近期关于此类系统群分类结果的启发，研究了线性二阶常微分方程系统的一般群分类。本文讨论了此特定研究所得的有趣结果及随之而来的定理。本文考虑不可约二阶常微分方程系统的分类研究。
