我们在两种紧密相关的坐标系——原始的 Robinson-Trautman (RT) 坐标系（在更一般的语境中常称为 NU 坐标系）与 Bondi 坐标系——中研究 Robinson-Trautman-Maxwell 场。特别地，我们将 RT 变量之一识别为速度，并进而由 Bondi 能量-动量 4-矢量出发，用该速度给出质量与动量的运动学表达式。由这些运动学表达式与能量-动量损失方程，我们得到源“质心”令人惊讶的运动方程，其中运动发生在 BMS 群的四维 Poincare 平移子群中。
