我们给出了 SL(n,R) 中那些是对角子群在共轭下极限的子群的共轭类空间维数的一个二次下界。我们首次给出了 SL(n,R) 中不是此类极限的 n-1 维阿贝尔子群的显式例子，然而所有这样的阿贝尔群都是对角群的极限当且仅当 n < 5。
