摘要
群论、拓扑学和几何学中的几个不同领域都引发了对当 G 为有限群、紧群或单李群时 Aut(Fn)（即 n 个生成元上的自由群的自同构群）作用于 Hom(Fn;G) 的研究。在这篇综述中，我们描述了这些主题和结果，特别强调了一些相似之处，并力求给出某种统一的处理方式。这种视角有时会提出新的问题、猜想以及从一个领域借用至另一领域的方法。
