体积猜想及其推广指出，若固定一个接近 2*Pi*I 的复数 c，则对应于 sl(2;C) 的 N 维不可约表示的（双曲）结的彩色 Jones 多项式在 exp(c/N) 处的取值随 N 呈指数增长。另一方面，若 c 的绝对值足够小，它收敛于在 exp(c) 处取值的 Alexander 多项式的倒数。本文研究了其呈多项式增长的情形。
