摘要

我们总结了R. Borcherds对Conway-Norton猜想中以下部分的解法（含若干修正）：给定魔群和Frenkel-Lepowsky-Meurman的该群月光模，证明该模上魔群元素的分级特征标（即McKay-Thompson级数）与Conway和Norton提供的模函数相等。该等式通过魔李代数某子代数的同调以及Euler-Poincaré恒等式建立。
