Hilbert 二维空间填充曲线因其在许多应用中具有良好的局部性而备受赞赏。然而，目前尚不清楚将此曲线推广至填充更高维空间的最佳方式是什么。我们论证指出，使 Hilbert 曲线在二维中独一无二的性质，在三维中为 10694807 条结构不同的空间填充曲线所共有。其中包括几条在某种意义上具有比以往文献中考虑过的任何广义 Hilbert 曲线更好局部性的曲线。
