摘要
Horn 问题如下：给定两个已知谱的 Hermitian 矩阵，其和的本征值谱可能是什么？这一线性代数问题恰恰适合用现代哈密顿几何的方法来处理（而 Horn 当时无法使用这些方法）。将辛商与几何不变理论联系起来的定理也使得代数几何与表示理论能够发挥作用。本综述性笔记旨在为线性代数研究者阐明这些联系，以期使人能够识别何种问题有可能被证明 Horn 猜想所用的相同技术所解决。
