秩为 n 的自由群 F_n 的完全不可约外自同构 phi 有一个展开因子,它通常不同于 phi 的逆的展开因子。然而,我们证明 phi 与其逆的展开因子的对数之比以上界为仅依赖于秩 n 的常数。我们还证明了一个更一般的定理,适用于 F_n 的任意外自同构及其逆,以及它们的整个展开因子谱。
