Polterovich、Shalom与Shem-Tov近期的一篇论文表明，高秩算术Chevalley群上非离散的、共轭不变范数会产生非常受限的拓扑。即，此类拓扑总是具有profinite范数完备化。在本注中，我们勾勒了一个论证，表明这对于为具有无穷多单位元的代数整数环时的也成立。
