摘要
1853 年 Sylvester 引入了两有限组不定元的一族双重和表达式,并表明该族中某些成员本质上即为与这些集合相关的首一多项式的多项式子结式。一个自然产生的问题是:该族的其他成员是什么?本文对该问题给出完整回答。我们为回答此问题所发展的技巧被证明具有足够一般性,可刻画该族所有成员,从而提供一种统一方法。
