利用CUORE研究稀有核过程

摘要

TeO2低温量热器多年来一直被用于搜寻130-Te的无中微子双贝塔衰变。CUORE是一个吨量级TeO2探测器阵列,最近发布了最灵敏的半衰期限制:T1/20ν>1.5×1025T_{1/2}^{0\nu} > 1.5 \times 10^{25}\,yr,这对应于中微子有效马约拉纳质量的上限为140400140-400~meV。这使得CUORE成为寻找无中微子双贝塔衰变的世界级领先实验,但它并非CUORE在核与粒子物理领域将贡献的唯一研究。正如多年来许多小规模实验所做的那样,CUORE将研究稀有衰变(如130-Te的双中微子双贝塔衰变和假设的123-Te电子俘获)以及稀有过程(例如暗物质和轴子相互作用)。本文描述了过去使用TeO2低温量热器的实验的一些成果,以及CUORE的前景。
