摘要
我们展示了对 CUORE 的灵敏度与发现潜力的研究。CUORE 是一个正在意大利格兰萨索国家实验室建造的、基于量热法的双贝塔衰变实验。我们给出了针对不同本底情形计算实验灵敏度的两种方法,并讨论了将灵敏度公式推广到发现潜力情形。假设本底率为 cts/(keV kg y),我们发现,在 5 年活时间后,CUORE 对无中微子双贝塔衰变半衰期的 1 sigma 灵敏度为 y,因此有潜力将有效马约拉纳中微子质量探测至 40-100 meV;对应于 90% 置信水平的 1.64 sigma 灵敏度将为 y。我们将这一范围与在 Ge 中观测到无中微子双贝塔衰变的声称以及来自振荡结果的中微子质量参数空间偏好范围进行了比较。
