CUORE-0 实验的初步性能

摘要

CUORE-0 是一种低温探测器,利用二氧化碲(TeO_2)测热计阵列来搜寻 ^{130}Te 的无中微子双贝塔衰变。我们展示了首次数据分析结果,总 TeO_2 曝光量为 7.1 kg y,重点在于本底测量和能量分辨率。在无中微子双贝塔衰变感兴趣区域(2.47 至 2.57 MeV)以及以 {\alpha} 本底为主的区域(2.70 至 3.90 MeV)测得的本底率分别为 0.071 \pm 0.011 和 0.019 \pm 0.002 counts/keV/kg/y。后一结果代表相较于前身实验 Cuoricino 提升了 6 倍。这些结果验证了我们对 CUORE-0 本底源的理解,这是外推至完整 CUORE 探测器的基础。在感兴趣区域获得的能量分辨率(半高全宽)为 5.7 keV。基于感兴趣区域测得的本底率和能量分辨率,预计 CUORE-0 在一年运行时间内的半衰期灵敏度将超过 Cuoricino 观测到的下限。
