CUORE 及超越:探索中微子质量倒序的测热技术

摘要

CUORE(低温地下稀有事件观测站)实验将搜寻 130^{130}Te 的无中微子双贝塔衰变。凭借 741 kg 的 TeO2_2 晶体以及在感兴趣区域高达 5 keV (0.2%) 的优异能量分辨率,CUORE 将成为最具竞争力的无中微子双贝塔衰变实验之一。在五年运行时间内,CUORE 预测的无中微子双贝塔衰变半衰期灵敏度在 1σ1\sigma 水平为 1.6×10261.6\times 10^{26} 年(90% 置信水平为 9.5×10259.5\times10^{25} 年),这对应于 40--100 meV(50--130 meV)范围内的有效 Majorana 质量上限。利用辅助光探测器进一步抑制本底,可显著提高测热探测器的搜寻灵敏度和竞争力,从而利用 130^{130}Te 及其他可能的双贝塔衰变候选核素全面探索中微子质量倒序。
