摘要
在本文中，我们收集了受 Kac 和 Wakimoto 猜想启发而得到的关于整数表示为偶数个平方和的最新结果。我们首先概述 Milne 对其中两个猜想的证明。我们还展示了从 Milne 关于 与 个三角形数之和的行列式公式出发推导出这两个猜想的另一种途径。该方法受 Zagier 通过模形式证明 Kac--Wakimoto 公式的启发。我们以第一作者与 Chua 近期提出的猜想结束本综述。
