摘要
一个经典事实是椭圆模函数满足一个三阶代数微分方程，且没有更低阶的。我们展示这如何推广到任意次数的 Siegel 模函数。关键思想是它们满足的偏微分方程组由 Gauss--Manin 联络支配，其后合群是众所周知的。模 theta 函数给出了我们结果的具体解释，并且我们在次数为 2 的情形详细研究了它们的微分性质。
