热带化是一种将代数环面的子簇转化为空间中平衡加权有理复形的程序。在本文中，我们研究了三维空间曲面中曲线的热带化。它们是热带曲面中的平衡有理加权图。具体而言，我们研究了“提升”问题：给定热带曲面中的一个图，能否在曲面中找到相应的代数曲线？在特征0的情况下，通过将该问题归结为能否对具有特定支撑集的多项式进行因式分解，我们发展了提升图的具体组合障碍。这解释了为什么 Vigeland 构造的一些异常热带曲线是不可提升的。
