将 Maupertuis 原理推广至二阶变分学。从而通过 Jacobi 定理的推广来分析自然动力系统解的稳定性。我们证明了动力系统中轨迹的 Morse 理论等同于 Jacobi 度量下测地线的 Morse 理论，尽管作用量与 Jacobi 长度周围的二阶变分泛函并不重合。作为代表性例子，我们将此结果应用于 Garnier 系统的分界线解研究。
