球面上量子霍尔效应的基态波函数与Atiyah-Singer指标定理

摘要

我们在球几何下研究量子霍尔效应,使用背景磁场中非相互作用费米子的Dirac算子,该磁场由球心处的Wu-Yang磁单极子提供。波函数是非平凡U(1)U(1)丛的截面,零点能因此消失,且任何微扰都不能降低能量。Atiyah-Singer指标定理约束了基态的简并度。我们还在复合费米子模型中研究分数量子霍尔效应。统计规范场的涡旋由与单极场相关的Dirac弦提供。仅当涡旋具有偶数个磁通单位并抵消背景场、降低复合费米子所看到的有效场时,才获得唯一基态。存在唯一的带隙基态,且在粒子数很大时,恢复分数ν=12k+1\nu=\frac{1}{2 k+1}
