设 X 为维数为 n 且指数为 n-3 的 Fano 流形。Kawamata 证明了在 n=4 的情况下基本除子的全局截面非零。此外，他证明了如果 Y 是基本系统的一般元素，则 Y 最多只有典范奇点。我们证明了该结果在任意维数下的一般化推广。
