两个变量的 Laurent 多项式 $f$ 自然地描述了环面上的射影曲线 $C(f)$ 。我们证明，如果 $C(f)$ 是亏格至少为 7 的光滑曲线，那么 $C(f)$ 不是 Brill-Noether 一般的。为了实现这一点，我们对所有允许此类曲线的 Newton 多边形进行了分类，这些曲线的除子都具有非负的 Brill-Noether 数。
