我们研究了White发现的密度矩阵重正化群(DMRG),并表明在重正化最终收敛到不动点的情况下,DMRG基态可以简单地写成“矩阵乘积”形式。该基态也可以通过一个简单的变分试探重新推导,而不涉及DMRG构造。我们还展示了如何构造“矩阵乘积”态以及如何计算它们的性质,包括激发谱。本文提供了先前一封信中宣布的许多结果的详细内容。
